Today I’m sharing with you a plant-based burger patty recipe - White kidney bean patty! These nutritious vegetarian patties taste as good as they look and are super easy to make! ”
INGREDIENTS :
2 Burger buns
10g Butter
100g White kidney beans, cooked
30g Carrot, grated
½ Onion, finely chopped
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp Smoked paprika
2 tsp Garlic powder
50g Breadcrumbs
1 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Ground black pepper
½ Egg, whisked
Mozzarella cheese, grated
4 Lettuce
4 Tomato slices
2 tbsp BBQ sauce
Steps:
1. Drain and pat dry the beans, mash with a fork until smooth.
2. Sauté the carrot and onion on a pan with a spoonful of olive oil for 5 minutes.
3. Set aside for 10 minutes, gently squeeze out the excess moisture.
4. Place the mashed beans in a large bowl, mix together with cooked carrots, onion, Italian seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, breadcrumbs, cumin, salt, pepper, and egg. (You may add more breadcrumbs if the mixture is too wet)
5. Stir and pulse everything together and form into two equal patties.
6. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and place the patties on top.
7. Bake in a preheated oven (170C) for 10minutes, top with mozzarella cheese and bake for another
8. Toast the burger buns with butter until golden 10 minutes. brown, spread over with barbecue sauce.
9. Place lettuce, tomato slices and patty onto the bottom bun, cover with the top bun.
10. Serve and ENJOY! 😎
